Commissioner Steven S. Streger

Commissioner and Senior Research Attorney

On September 1, 2023, Steven S. Streger, was sworn in as a Commissioner of the Superior Court of California, County of Tuolumne.  The Commissioner’s duties will also be combined with those of the Legal Research Attorney, a position he held at the Court prior to his appointment.

Commissioner Streger has a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, and a Juris Doctorate from McGeorge School of Law.  He was in private practice for 16 years, specializing in civil litigation, and thereafter worked in the public sector as a trial court research attorney for 12 years.  He has also served as a temporary (pro tem) judge for 22 years, managing a wide variety of calendars.

Commissioner Streger is married with two young children and two doodle dogs.  In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, soccer and photography.
