The Honorable Hallie Gorman Campbell

Judge

On October 7, 2022, Governor Gavin Newsom appointed Judge Hallie Gorman Campbell to the Superior Court of Tuolumne County. She was sworn in  January  3, 2023. 

Judge Campbell graduated from California State University, Chico, in 2004,  where she also received a certificate in Editing and Publishing. She worked in  newspapers for several years before attending law school at University of the  Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Judge Campbell continued working while  attending the school’s part-time program, and she received her Juris Doctorate  in May of 2010. Upon graduation, Judge Campbell worked for the law school  until she joined the Tuolumne County Public Defender’s Office in 2011. Judge  Campbell was with the Public Defender’s Office for 11 years until her  appointment to the bench.

Judge Campbell is a California native and has lived in Tuolumne County since  February of 2011.
